ReadStream privacy

ReadStream is a local-first personal reader by DSCreations. Imported documents, normalized chapter text, reading progress, bookmarks, notes, and settings remain on your device by default.

ReadStream does not require an account. Online sources are contacted only when you configure or refresh them. Metadata backups exclude chapter text and source documents by default.

Deleting a library item may remove ReadStream's app-managed copy, but never deletes the original file from Downloads or a document provider.
